Give me a break, Bill is wrong three times a week. He is entitled to be wrong every day, or every hour of every day for all I care. What is annoying about Bill is not that he is wrong, even though he is piling up one heck or a bad track record. No, what is annoying about Bill is the way he weasels out of the truth about what is going on in the world and his investments -- Bill Clinton might say "hey, you think I am a weasel, you should see this guy on SI, he is the biggest weasel ever." And he would be right! Most recent case in point (and the examples are almost endless so I would not call this the most important example) -- there is nothing wrong with AMZN. AMZN is the spectacular company Bill always said it was going to be, it is just morphing!!! LOL When they auction off AMZN's assets, after the shareholders have been left with nothing, Bill will tell you that AMZN is a big success because somebody still wanted to buy the brand name (assuming the brand will have a residual value of more than $100). The guy had two years of luck in a stock mania -- and as everybody knows, in a stock mania it is usually the stupid people who prosper most because they don't think the bubble is absurd -- they think it is proof positive of the power and glory of the new economy! Now Bill is losing his shirt because he still thinks he is a new economy investment genius. He certainly can't change course now and say "hey I made money and thought I was smart, but then I gave it all back and now I know it was just dumb luck and I never really understood how badly it would all end". Bill admit to being wrong?? LOL... p.s. not even Blodget would say something really absurd like "AMZN is just morphing". He would never say that because he wants to hang on to a shred of credibility. Bill does not even know his credibility is long gone. Bill still thinks he is a new economy investment genius.
