Ironically, I wholeheartedly agree with paying for each and every time a link is put up or a solicitation made or a message to subscribers. I think that Silicone Investor undoubtedly has the right to request a fee for making ALL threads or posters with commercial services pay for the right to post links, adds, 'come ons' etc. and I've often asked. Funny thing though.. it seems there is a You 'wash my hands' and I'll wash yours attitude which makes sense although ironically, we'd rather have the extra services and pay (I did say I'll be looking into it this week) This thread is popular and we bring in revenue for SI.. because we are the most bookmarked thread, its simple. Other threads don't. In fact it would made any ad worth more since not all could or would want to pay so it would be more effective. It would prevent dilution. Did anyone even think to ask us? Just tell where to send the check. And Of course let us hear from the SI staff and not a band of 2 or 3 of same poor losers who SI banned from our thread and it irks them they can't disrupt our thread ever. SI would have have to get everyone with a site to pay up and then some others just won't survive without SI. The thing is we are waiting for months to get just such a 'for pay SI site open' and I would love to accelerate the process by any means. I have often asked SI why can't we pay so then we can get more bonuses like a special area for our intraday updates.. by all means let's roll with it. . so I'm all for paying for advertising privileges on SI.. anytime they decide to go with that, I'm for it.
