One important thing to understand is that although
"my" timeslots might have a fairly low demand of dynamics
(the difference between highest levels and background, lowest
levels) jumping to a slot of another carrier frequency might
be like using the empty spaces of either a whispering
or shouting conversation betweeen some other participants
in the cocktail party.

But all of this is mainly a function of good enough
RF parts and AD/DA converters, baseband processing,
as well as getting the whole cocktail party to follow the
same rules.

Unluckily with severe demands on both base stations and
handsets behavior, just like for CDMA and WCDMA, but not
really _that_ CDMA-severe, bless them (except for the
mythical monocell out in the isolted desert where anything
is possible, even 40x capacity, just for free)

Ilmarinen.

P.S. As Folke Ahlback was quoted, life isn't easy,
not for finns nor for chinese, but OFDM promises,
at this stage, to magically solve everything by
dividing 0 by 0, Viterbi seem to have decided
on the same (unluckily the same basic problems, it
just seems different to begin with,FDMA,TDMA,CDMA or
once again, OFDMA)
