Interesting link on the AMT - market implications?.

fortune.com

From last year, detailing an example from TheStreet.com.

It will be interesting to see how the
AMT nightmare affects the market until April 15th. So
many people in Silicon Valley are now sitting on huge
AMT tax bills for shares that are now relatively worthless.
If nothing fundamental changes I'd expect there to be
a fair amount of insider selling over the next few
weeks, so as to cover the tax bill. I expect this
will exert a further downward push on the overall
market.

LG - as to Belmont ...

Well, I see you know my 'hood!

Actually, my former 'hood. I live in Monterey nowadays -
couldn't stand the congestion on the peninsula. Not
quite in the thick of things, but certainly a lot
more pleasant in terms of quality of life.
