I believe that there should be no public float for any stock. i.e., I believe we should do away with stock exchanges.

I realize this may sound like heresy among the active traders here, and the financial Institutions and Houses would never go for it because the exchanges are where the real killing is made. But this is why are economy is essentially casino driven.

Unfortunately privately held firms suffer for it too and it really doesn't have to be this way. If people want to invest, they can do so through bonds or privately held stock.

Imagine if a companies net worth was based strictly on fundamentals. Heaven forbid !
