Well, I don't want to get into a jelly doughnut fight, but I have been buying Krispy Kremes from one of the original outlets, a half-mile from my house, for 35 years. As you say, there may have been stockholders long before the public offering. I also admit to being a little sore because despite my wife's pleading I refused to buy into the IPO.
