Watching the FFFutures of course, but my simple approach is that no surprise cut unless we waterfall. End of story for me.

Silly! Simple solution - follow the Hong Kong model. Blame the shorts for the collapse. Cite a "systemic risk" due to stock collapse. Buy stocks in the open market. Problem solved! -ng-

At the very least not till end of week if it possibly happens. AG may be a gambling man but I find it hard to believe he is willing to give testimony on WED. with the possibility that a MON or TUES rate cut is being sold off while he testifies.
