True, and let's not forget Tom Gugliotta. Les Bullets told him they were building the team around him, traded him the next year. Except for choosing Leonard Hamilton as coach (was Darrell Walker even considered?), I don't put much of this on MJ. The problem is systemic and higher up, for example the decision to play hardball on JHow's original contract before the post-Miami re-do. And of course the Bullets escapees routinely have career nights whenever they play against the Lizards! Good to hear something positive about Courtney Alexander. Not too long ago Jordan was woofin' Tyron Nesby. Maybe the club just needs another name. Like the "Washington Mess"? Or the "Washington Bullets"!?
