A 58% decline in the COMPX is a "bull market correction"??

What was 1929-32, a "buying opportunity"?

We've just had the worst Nasdaq correction of the bull market, and consumer confidence is at an eight year low. Liquidity is improving now. Under these circumstances I'm making no judgements about Amazon's viability.

Bill,

That is fine and I agree with you 100% about the market. You seems to have an excellent knack for understanding the market. The last thing I really want is some kind of "piss*ng" contest. It is difficult enough to have ones portfolio lose so much value and still not get emotional about it.

I was through this on the short side and now am going through it on the long side. At times, I feel like throwing in the towel and handing the remainder of my portfolio to a money manager.

I do not want enemies. I never want enemies. I am not out to embarrass you or belittle you. I felt it was important that you as well as I learn something. I learned not to fight momentum, the fed and many other market factors. Since, I am on margin, I should have learned to sell and cut losses too. I am getting a good enough taste of the leverage so that I never make that error again. I won't have a margin call no matter what happens but losses are increased.

It just seems to me that there is something here to be learned too on your end. I agree Amazon would not be trading this low if the market was not so bad. On the other hand, Amazon would have fallen badly in a good market due to the final understanding of many of the fundamentals. There are still many that have yet grasped them.

I do not understand why you are angry at me. All I did was show want you believed would be the future of Amazon looking at it a few years ago. I do not expect you or anyone to call the future of a stock's price and fundamentals perfectly. I believe and I posted it to you in private that you called the market movements well. There were posts of yours were you continued to tell ne not to short Amazon. I only wish I had listened.

The idea of a thread environment is two fold in my opinion. One is to learn from others and for some of us, it is entertainment too. I do believe you over reacted and it is my opinion that was caused by the market's current movements.
