SpectraSite Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SITE - news) today reported financial and operating results, including record revenues, EBITDA, and collocation lease activity for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2000.

Steve Clark, SpectraSite's President and Chief Executive Officer said, ``We had another strong quarter and an outstanding year. Revenue for 2000 increased almost 250% to $346.9 million and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) grew close to 650%. We ended the year with a portfolio of 5,030 owned towers, almost double the number of towers we owned a year ago. On a pro-forma basis, including the towers the Company will be sub-leasing from SBC, we have approximately 8,200 owned towers in our portfolio. SpectraSite enters 2001 a significantly stronger company than a year ago. We have a blue chip tenant base, a high-quality tower portfolio with significant collocation opportunities, and a larger presence than our competitors in the top 50 major metropolitan markets, which we believe will experience the greatest demand for tower space. We have also established footholds in the rapidly expanding European and Mexican wireless markets.''
