dylan murphy: All I can do is speculate. I assume that Qualcomm set up an HDR (1xEV) "demonstration" at Cannes.

They had there own means of sending the wireless signal to the laptops that were being carried around.

And the system simply duplicated what would be broadcast.

Most likely a portable basestation / "cow" cell on wheels used at special events with a high density of cell phone users
