If we lived in a society that chose to allow people to kill other people...oh wait...we DO. We have the death penalty, we support wars, we allow self defense- societies allow all kinds of killing and always have done. So I guess we do allow people to kill other people by choice- society just happens to define the choice. It's all pretty arbitrary- imo.
