I hope that we have already had the opportunity <g>. Actually, I'm starting to feel a lot better about the market especially if AG avoids screwing up... I still feel that he did over reach last year. Now, he has a chance in the next few weeks to redeem himself and restore confidence in the financial system. If he doesn't, well, all bets are off. I have my own little example of how some shaken confidence, if not resolved, can impact the economy. We are currently in the process of planning to build a new house... if things don't improve and our paper net-worth keeps getting killed every day, there is no way that we will proceed. I'm guessing that there has to be thousands of folk in a similar frustrated position around the country... imagine the multiplier effect on the economy when all that potential work and material supplies doesn't get utilized. Too bad for all that missed opportunity... Oh sure, someday we'll go ahead, but no way are we going to overextend our financial position now when we have no confidence in the future of the financial system. Neither will a lot of other people... instead of progress, we will have stagnation for a while. As I indicated above, my gut tells me that the worst is over... sure hope that it isn't misplaced optimism... time will tell. By the way, I sure like Dent's work... no reason why the economy can't put it all in to play if it gets half a chance. Cheers all...
