Hi Rambi,

Your dinner sounds great. And I know just what you mean about the satisfaction you get when you successfully recycle leftovers. I always get a visual of jumping into the air pumping my fist and screaming "Score!!!".

You must try roasted asparagus if you like it steamed. It's a bit of a pain in the butt, as it's most tender when you peel off the skin along the stalk, as the French do. When I roast asparagus, I look for the fat-stalked variety. One bunch feeds two people because the roasting process dessicates it so much. The process is the same as roasting any other vegetable: peel 'em, place 'em on a cookie sheet, drizzle with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and good salt, and roast until they're crispy.

My children love roasted asparagus, as it takes a lot like French fries and can be eaten out of hand. I'm eager to see what your family thinks.

Uh oh, Goldman Sachs just issued a statement that it's too early to buy tech........argh.
