Chris-What's your short-term view in all of this? You've been rather quiet...

Re buys: If this does turn into something substantial...the beaten-down chips (BRCM, AMCC, etc), in my mind, would be one group getting dragged up and thru in a big way....they need to play catch-up here...it'll be interesting to see how they react tomorrow-indication of the strength of this move?...on rallies since September, they have put in some whopper % gains off of their short-term lows...

Problem is: Can there really be an extended rally on rate-cut speculation alone?

It occurred to me that we completed the "measured bear" move from Sept. 1 over the last few days (5132-3042=2090; 4289-2090=2199). So it could be the end of phase 2 (emphasis on could). Are we do for a three-month reaction rally, similar to last May-August? Beatsa heck outta me, but it's interesting that we met the downside target from the August/September peak.
