Hi richard surckla; Before you go on too much of a happy spree, you might wonder about a few things:

(1) What percentage of total world production would 600 million units per year be? How many DRAMs does the world produce per year?

(2) Why is it that Intel is still having to pay memory makers to produce RDRAM? Aren't the memory makers supposed to be happy to produce RDRAM now that it is so very profitable?

(3) Why is it that Samsung is able to predict that they're going to have such a high percentage (i.e. 50%) of world RDRAM production? What does that say about world RDRAM production? Doesn't that imply that the market is still going to be largely a Samsung monopoly?

(4) Why is Intel passing out licenses to the P4 bus for DDR chipset makers if they really think that RDRAM will catch on?

P.S. Niche memory.
