i beg to differ...harmony is an excellent pick, about as good as any although i'd go with franco nevada for numero uno as i think its the safest...i think its an idea to have some durban, but only after you've got a collection of the best gold stocks...don't put all your eggs into durban...

Ram, you make a good observation. My value gold’s moved only the 3/1 POG leverage at best. My dogs moved like crazy, DROOY, et al., VGZ up 50%. This tells me that my gold investment philosophies may be wrong. I had expected the value plays moved first with dogs bought later by the unsuspecting masses on the momentum. However, that view may be wrong based on what I saw yesterday. The dogs may be so leveraged (currently cheap) that savvy investors understand the potential. Dogs moving now may also provide confidence for higher POG. This is interesting, always something to learn.

Ram, I don't care to get into a pissing contest with you about the merits and performances of brave dogs (high cost non-hedgers)versus tigers (low cost exploration deposits). Looks like even the tin men (hedgers/cappers) joined the fun. I'll have you know that I own 24 different names and had a spectacular day yesterday even with one (GBG) left behind. Sounds like you did too, and way to go. Like I said before, I understand the brave dog philosophy, my approach is just different. Why don't we just forget the brave dog versus tiger debate for now and enjoy the moment. Good luck.
