They screwed up the transcript late in the interview, i think they put the wrong figures in the wrong answers:

[DC] That is a difficult question. We know that the entire market for telecom around the world is something like $7.1-7.3 billion. I'm going from memory here, but today probably two-thirds of that, in revenue terms, is voice. So let's just say roughly a third of that or something greater than $200 billion today is data applications, and we know it's growing very fast. So, it's a market in the hundreds of billions of dollars.

[GSM] How much of this global market can you penetrate?

[DC] Well, I guess I would say we're still a relatively small company, but we're going to be one of the most important players in global bandwidth products. The fact is that our revenue this year should be more than $700 billion annually [and will draw near $1.1 trillion by 2004, according to Thomas Weisel Partners]. We just talked about a market of hundreds of billions of dollars. So, we think there's tremendous room for us to grow as a company by increasing our market share by only a few points.
