I don't know that they did abuse their power.

Sure, everybody and every company breaks the law - I have broken several traffic laws already today - but in terms of damage to society, immorality etc, I don't find fault with Microsoft. Their competitor, Netscape, gave their product away for free - funded by shareholder money in a bubble market - and that threatened MS, who responded appropriately (with a superior product).

I take more offence to companies that illegally go thru trash or bad mouth competitors in a mean spirited way, or try to spend shareholders' money on hiring bug exterminator vehicles to surround a competitor's building or claim to be the largest server vendor when they are not (even to the extent of quoting non existent Dataquest stats to back their lies up).

As the Great Work of Fiction states, let he without sin cast the first stone (or words to that effect).
