Scumbria <1. Single processor Celeron serves no purpose whatsoever.
2. Single processor PIII serves almost no purpose.
3. P4 might be a good machine for a few scientists who run their own compiled floating point apps.
4. Duron is ideal for almost everybody on the desktop.
5. Athlon is a waste of money if it comes at a significant premium to Duron. (Except for gamers, of course.)
6. MP Celeron and PIII systems are the best buy for power users.>

Now if only AMD would make an effort to deliver this message, we would have a hot stock again. From the price reports of late Athlons are just a few bucks more than Duron (#5).

According to a few analysts reports, Athlon resumed kicking ass. In April, INTC will likely miss, and if AMD has been smart enough to skew their production (lowering Duron/increasing Athlon due to design wins), they MIGHT make their numbers. IF this happens, AMD may finally escape INTC's evil share price vortex. But it probably won't happen, so ... I'll just have to continue working.
