Intel's public roadmap has .13mu slated for Q2 (in production volume - at some fabs, anyway). Secondly, remember that, depending on wording and definition, there can easily be 12 weeks (i.e. a quarter) between "sell" and "make". As in: "We will sell more P4s than PIIIs in Q3" or "We will make more P4s than PIIIs in Q3".

The question is, what will Intel do with its limited .13mu capacity. I originally thought they would do what they always do: mobile version of old core first. That's the safest way, but considering that Intel is under relatively little pressure in the mobile sector (probably for most of this year), it might make a lot of sense to target the initial .13mu capacity at P4 production. A couple of lines (of .13mu) somewhere can do mobile PIIIs if Intel fears loosing some sort of PR race in the mobile arena (e.g. first mobile 1GHz processor).

Still, it looks like Dell will have a decision to make pretty soon. They cannot afford to be without clothes much longer.

The Intel ads are so fluffy, lacking in information and obviously manipulative, that AMD could run a very simple, INFORMATIVE campaign stressing the better performance of AMD systems. No catchy jingles, slogans or whatever, just repeating the the hard info from PC World, PC magazine, CNet, etc, etc.

I think a high-saturation radio campaign would be very cost effective and take advantage of Intel backlash caused by their ridiculous commercials.
