Thanks for the info & site link. The survey seems to tap a similar type of sentiment - very short term - to Jake Bernstein's Daily Sentiment Index. A quick review seems to indicate similar movements for the period listed. Since I subscribe to the DSI, I prefer to use it. The DSI is available daily and the updates for each day are available a few hours after the Market close.

If an SI Survey has any utility, it would be its link to the Nasdaq/Technology Sector.

By the way, the Nasdaq/Tech Business Sentiment Index I started at the beginning of August, based on a daily review of financial media sentiment media, is getting interesting: 74 consecutive negative "mentions" in the Past 3 Months component, and 57 consecutive negative mentions in the Next 3 Months component (Just ended by a "neutral" yesterday.) These deep negative readings are indicative of an intermediate term cyclical low.
