It should be noted that password-protecting access to a home network is a feeble gesture. Hackers have software (known as "crackers") that discover passwords by trying one combination after another until they gain entry. Extremely long and complex passwords are helpful, but the crackers can get them, too, if the hacker is willing to wait hours and sometimes days for the cracker to get it.
