Yes, I think 1xEV is going to be an outstanding growth opportunity for QCOM. The question is a matter of timing.

What appears to be going on right now is that the entire market is downsizing it's perspective on PEG. As I watch the not so slow bleeding on stocks like SEBL and BRCM I think to myself, QCOM is a lot more reasonable than those two pricewise...yet the market does not care...it seems to only care to slice prices down enough until the PE compresses enough to match earnings and growth. From that perspective, QCOM has a way to go.

Maybe the bleeding stops today, I dunno...but there still appears to be too much risk on the downside in this market to be sitting on a sizable position...a variable different for every investor.

If the 1xEV commercial rollout is slower than expected AND the earnings ramp up is further out (which I think is the case), we've got trouble.

Keith, as I mentioned the other day, I still can't get proper cell service in many populated areas in So. Cal. The wireless web service is totally inadequate unless I stay within my immediate service area. Looking at that I am wondering how long it will take for 1xEV to start becomming a common enough AVAILABLE service (outside of L.A. or downtown San Diego!) for our earnings to really take off.

I dunno. But I think it is longer than people want to believe.
