Yes we sure have had a lot of dust kicked up in our face!

I feel like I'm flying the plane on instruments at the moment because we can't see the ground right now. When Cisco got over 45 last year I knew it was too high but never expected it to get to 82... That was pretty rarified atmosphere! Two years ago when I sold a big chunk of it I didn't really want to (to further diversify and raise cash) but now looking back was sure the right time! Sometimes I do things correctly! <VBG>

The fun part is diversifing the portfolio and I've kept the powder pretty dry but have been slowly buying some stocks in other areas besides techs. Biotech has been my focus the last few years and have been adding to my postitions in them in late December.

The big question is how bad the economy will get and what sectors will respond after we hit the bottom. IT spending will be light for probably a few years but the "change" is still happening in this area at a pretty good clip. I see a lot of opportunity going forward but we need the clouds to clear a little bit more before we resume the upward climb.

Greenspan seems to more and more take center stage in this drama. Technology has been pretty much taken down to it's knees now so the direction of tax and interest rate policy should give us a road map of what will happen in the next few years probably by this summer.

I hate to see more pain but it's pretty well baked into the cake now.

regards,

Eric
