Chronoscopy certainly anticipated the carnage. I don't know whether traditional TA tools were up to the task, frankly. To quote from a press release today on an exciting new development in chronoscopy (a new chronoscope torque diagnosis tool): "The chronoscope slows data to a zero-instant so that it can be analysed in a way that is coextensive with the data's whole development. By retaining the infinite at a zero-instant, future data can be extrapolated."
