They've quit running Liddy where I live. Like you, I preferred listening to him rather than Limbo. At least G. Gordon had the ability to talk about various topics. Limbo seldom deviates from his prepared script, which is 90 percent political bashing. Too much of his show is staged/scripted to suit me. There is even a defined logic to the callers on certain days. One time a guy phoned G. Gordon and asked how he shaved his head. G. Gordon then went into a 12-minute explanation, covering head preparation, types of shaving cream, types of razors, where to begin, where to end, etc. I also enjoyed G. Gordon's discussion about prison weaponry ... G. Gordon said when he took a shower in the Big House, he generally carried a large bar of soap inside a sock. Made a nice swinging mace to discourage would-be attackers. Re: "So your fears of spreading conservatism through the media channels are real." I have no problem with those who wish to spread the conservative agenda. (William F. Buckley's TV shows were always entertaining and dignified, regardless of your political viewpoint.) What I have a problem with are the lightweights -- and I'm including Hannity and Limbo in that group -- whose appeal lies in their ability to entertain through bashing. More of these clowns should take another look at Buckley's "Firing Line."
