Gersh, I don't know how you do it

> "bear market rallies are kinda tough to play with t+3 timing .."

market feels weird to me, fwiw... Down here you'd expect some kinda "accumulation" of the downtrodden bellwethers, etc. But it feels more like "distribution" on the ticker -?

--> I can't make Bull's head or Bear's tail out of it.

Entertainment: Whatever AG could "figure out" and "state"

ML and GS were there and prevented any positive effect by downgrading the half S&P today. Congrats.

A good part of the whole mess comes out off their corner. Current best profiting business is writing calls. The sooner those calls come back the most frequently one can repeat the game.

Investmentbanks have the possibility to manipulate the underlying in two ways:
1. with PR (like today facing a real risk that markets move up) and
2. with strategic market-intervention exactly at the points where all technic-believers hope to go in - f.e. at dj 11k or naz 2300 lately.

Before I repeatly must read again qualified comments like "BS" or "conspiration-theory" I recommend to this kind of dreaming quick-shooters: please read again something from authors who are familiar with this business.

It's the best business at all you can make: well liked leaps, more than 300 days before expiration, lose in a region of up to 30% monthly even if the underlying doesn't drop.

Who like to check that could look at C and relatet calls since begin of the year, thus in a period when C increased (!!!) in a relativ stabil trading range.

It really doesn't matter for which purpose parameters were planned originally - fact is, that in appropriate market-conditions no single market-maker worldwide stays the temptation to "correct" prices where he/she hopes to make the best profit. With or against a given options-calculator. As I said, it's absolutely legal. They must gain, that's the only rule that counts.

It doesn't work just out of the money: I have "in the money" leaps (of G) losing ground while the underlying gained a bit. No usual options-formula would calculate this so.

There's no "conspiration" needed (and "BS" is MCD-infected anyway <g>), it's just a really great profit to win.

Fears on possible serious damage for US- or even world-economy will no bank keep away from driving this out to the end. Only dreamers believe in "compensating forces of markets" - markets & market-rules are made by and for banks, certainly not for us.
BTW: I saw interviews with drunk WS-bank-teams after "killing" some thousends of their own customers - and this was not Holywood. Whoever of us feels like he had things under control should think over again.

Check the earnings of the big players and tell me how they made the money in this market-conditions on different ways.

This way - writing calls, controling the trades and pressing markets down - you can make huge amounts of money: Usual blue-chip-leaps have OI's of typically 20k contracts or 2 mio shares.

Guess You all can multiply yourself: these billions of shares times say 3-10 bucks times the frequency...

Don't forget the shorttime-options and the later gain when they will re-enter in the underlyings - say at NAZ 11.

Don't forget the propaganda for funds - a lot of beaten investors hope to find their safe place in mutual funds.

Add the win when they can re-invest their cash exactly at the RIGHT moment - when all blue-chips are recommendet as "sell" and indizes hit the zero-line*; or, say 11.

11 - it was the Carnival-weekend, hope, you all were true, at least the married guys of you.

Greetings from Zeeland!

Hey! I predict STRONG resistance when q's=11.
(this information should not lead unexperienced investors who read that to invest their money then!)
