Tony - Re: "Paul, a lot of good stuff coming out from Intel and Serverworks"

Yep.

Add Dell - they are announcing a new light weight Laptop using the new 700 MHz Low Voltage Pentium III Mobile CPU that Intel introduced today.

"The Latitude L400 features Intel's® Low Voltage mobile Pentium® III processor at 700Mhz, a high-resolution 12.1-inch XGA screen and ATI Rage Mobility M graphics controller with 4 MB SGRAM and a comfortable 95 percent full-size keyboard. "

I guess Dell really REALLY needs AMD's AthWipers now !

Dell Latitude L400 Delivers Big Performance in Small Package

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2001--Business ``road warriors'' want the lightest notebook possible without compromising functionality, and Dell(Nasdaq:DELL - news), the worldwide leader in supplying portables to small, medium and large businesses(a), has delivered.

Today, Dell introduced its newest ultraportable, the Latitude L400, which delivers an important balance between mobility, usability and performance, and makes it easy for mobile customers to stay connected and be productive, regardless of their location.

The lightest Latitude ever, the L400 can weigh as little as 3.4(b) pounds, is only an inch thick and is wrapped in a durable magnesium alloy cover that will easily handle the most rigorous business traveler's schedule. Despite its small profile, it does not compromise performance or ease of use. The Latitude L400 features Intel's® Low Voltage mobile Pentium® III processor at 700Mhz, a high-resolution 12.1-inch XGA screen and ATI Rage Mobility M graphics controller with 4 MB SGRAM and a comfortable 95 percent full-size keyboard.

Whether moving around the office or across the country, the Latitude L400 makes it easy to stay productive by offering a variety of connectivity options, including standard integrated 56k-capable modem(c), 10/100 Ethernet network interface card (NIC), or optional Dell TrueMobile(tm) 1150 Wireless PC Card(d).

The Latitude L400 is designed with the size- and weight-sensitive mobile user in mind. The L400 retains compatibility with all Latitude C-family media modules and peripherals, and the L-family Advanced Port Replicator.

Dell services can help lower customers' computing costs with a full suite of award-winning computing services, including deployment and after-sale support.
