Anyone short any OS at the bell in anticipation of a big crude build? I tried with some UTI. To paraphrase the late great Jerry Garcia...What A Long Strange Trip It's Been with UTI. Bought at 19 and sold the apr 30's for 4 bucks after a big run. Should have shorted in the mid 30's before a drop to 26 but didn't. On the next run, sold the stock at 34 out from under the calls. Eventually shorted at 37 for a point. Now shorted again at 36.50. I still think UTI and its merger partner PTEN are overpriced. Short stock and short calls....hmmmmmm. Help!

John

TXN- Texas Instruments DSP is heavy in cell phones...

and cell phone sales are slower (maybe 10%) and they don't know how to make
3G / 2.5 G make money yet....

but the negativity is likely to exceed reality in the cell phone area after the next
BIG step down....

However, I'm looking forward to the late summer sale on semi stocks - incredible markdowns !
50, 60, 70 % off retail !

It takes, on average, 8 months for interest rate changes to affect the economy.
The sky won't fall, but we don't have enough people saying the sky might fall yet.
