watching the bush speech...

Pork-barrel king Senator Byrd looks like he's just seen the police arrive at a big keg party he was having with somebody else's money!

<<Msft has $40 billion in cash...I wouldn't consider that to be weak! >>

I don't consider it weak either. ( btw i would check that 40 bill number- sounds a bit dated to me. Several $$ bill is going to their lawyers now, ya know !!)

But money can't buy everyting and the proof is that msft is coming up very weak in many of these new market areas they have tried to go after.

The x-box thing was a marketing response to other co's - it was not a creative new project for msft. They are simply trying to find new uses for their existing OS anywhere they can. But trying to find new uses for their existing OS is not working in wireless, and it will not sell with video game players.

MSFT is a mature co with disspirited workers. And I agree - I think the alleged G. Bush leniency for msft is way overblown. MSFT is not going to get off the hook, and they are not going to grow much anytime soon.
