I agree on the sell side...

Except one must remember, (as far as options go), that the buy side limits loss. whereas the sell side is open to unlimited losses (unless one is a fast and nimble trader --and no overnight position is held).

In favor of the sell side is the magic of time decay, and the overweight of the "fat premiums" when volatility begins to rise, as it seems to be the case now.

in addition...

The "cult-like" stocks... are a dream... particularly on buy-writes close to expiration... PROVIDED we are in a rising market... in the current market there is a big risk of getting stuck with one of those .... er... super-tanker sized priced stock....

QCOM, as I had mentioned earlier is one of those... the fat premiums due to its particular volatility in these stocks, give a new dimension to the term:

"When the fat lady sings" ---gggg---
