It's almost your kind of day -- 90/10 -- knew this girl who almost got me to try that once but I jsut wasn't that adventorous <vbg> >>3:30PM Dow -174, Nasdaq -63, S&P -23.04: This is rapidly turning into a very ugly day in the markets. The sell pressure is accelerating here in the final two hours of the market day. Both the Dow and the Nasdaq have broken under near term support levels on terrible market internals. The Nasdaq faces the very real prospect of a 90/10 day today, a relatively unusual technical event. Currently 87% of the day's Nasdaq volume is in declining issues with only 13% advancing volume. This signals extreme sell pressure precipitated by the sense that a Fed rate cut isn't the cards until the next FOMC meeting on March 20 at the earliest.
