Europe is a big question mark at this point at the timing of wCDMA

Is there anything technically unique to Europe (if so, what), or wouldn't this be true for wCDMA worldwide?

Glad to hear about real cash royalties. Maybe we really need a new QCOM spin along the lines of "Europe is delaying wCDMA so they can recoup their investment in GPRS, but in the rest of the world, we are ready with 1X today and w-CDMA by the end of the year."

Like you, I'd prefer truth to spin, but IJ's comments to the FT had a major spin/FUD component, and it would be useful to ferret out the truth.

When will there be wCDMA mobiles in an acceptable form factor?
