WS, volatility is something that most people want some of, especially when it has a logic or pattern. I would disagree though that the Market is "more sane than one could ever imagine." It certainly should have been going down since Nov-Dec as business starting weakening. It certainly is more sane than the runup in Jan. through mid-March of last year, but for so many tech stocks to tank as much as 30-60% in the last 4-6 weeks is not sane to me.

What happened to ELNT in Novemeber - December or what still hasn't happened to RIMM or hundreds of others is still not sane. For KEM to have a PE of 4 and RIMM a PE of 900+ is not sane, even allowing for the different niches within the tech sector. For techs as a whole to get so punished when the growth and PEG's of many are still so favorable compared to Biotechs, for instance, or many other sectors is uncalled for.

And especially comparing today's Market to that of a few years ago, when PE's were watched like a hawk, and PE's of 50 were considered very high and unusua,l this is not a sane Market, especially in the patterns or the rhyme or the reason of it all. It is very discriminatory in the way it views one stock as compared to another, or one sector compared to another. And there are much more "games within the game" and much more gambling going on by investors than ever before. Not always because they didn't do their homework either.
