Tomcat, welcome to the thread, I missed your other post. I think Intel would have to have DDR support for P4 by summer to prevent an AMD Deskpro launch, if its being tested right now.

I'm worried about VIA coming in with an SDR P4 chipset in a few months and a DDR P4 chipset in summer. Seeing as VIA did not legally need a license because of the S3 acquisition, I suspect Intel might have given the design to VIA to help support the P4, knowing that their Rambus agreements prevented them from making a DDR chipset on their own.
