Thank you for setting me straight on China. I rather like the sound of March (tomorrow over there) than "by the end of the year". <g> Assumed that since people were running around with "green phones" that at least some contracts had been let.

I agree with mightylakers 100% on the more fertile fields for the 1X/GSM overlay, not necessarily for cultural reasons, but because the big Euros have already contractually committed to wCDMA, whilst much of the rest of GSM-land hasn't.

Obviously, when IJ made his statements to the FT, he didn't anticipate the uproar it would cause for wireless in the U.S. stock market. Sulpizio had said essentially the same thing earlier at either Robbie Stephens' or the B o A tech conference, and nobody much cared. So, when IJ talks, people listen, and one must be vary of fall-out and friendly fire when launching a FUD missile.

P.S. Laodeng, you make me out as a better market timer than the real truth. I did sell 1/2 my QCOM shares many months ago at a higher price than we've seen the last several days, replaced the sold shares with bull LEAP spreads, and did have the Friday cheerleading day, in which whilst I cheered, I was still irate with IJ.
