I have no real basis to disagree. And hell looks likelier all the time. Sub-2000 might be just the psychological trigger to unleash many of the things we look for in a bottom.

The mystifying thing to me is that the market internals are, in general, not consistent with a massive selloff at this point. In other words, you see a divergence there, though it is somewhat subtle, and there are conflicting signals even. You see a similar picture when you examine sentiment indicators.

Still, I have believed for some time that the internals will lead the price action. That is precisely what happened last March. Price can be very misleading, as you know. Particularly closing price, on which we all put entirely too much emphasis, IMHO.
