From QCOM Shareholders Meeting:
1)Cost per Megabyte of data transmitted for various technologies
I-mode apx $23.00
GPRS $0.42
WCDMA $0.07
1X-EV $0.02

2) QCOM is helping various Chinese organizations write their RFP's
(Requests for Quotation Proposals) for their upcoming CDMA
system

Thus we see that QCOM's HDR technology can transmit data at roughly
2 1/2 times thr rate of W-CDMA. This should translate into significant cost advantages
any place where 1X-EV competes with W-CDMA. For example, in the US
AT&T (if they ever get to GPRS and finally to W-CDMA ) will be operating a
relatively inferior system at a huge cost advantage.

Further, QCOM's participation in CHINA is at very close the action. QCOM
knows a hell of a lot more about what's happening in China than they are willing
to disclost.
