ufrank... good luck. look into money supply - double digit growth back in late 1999 (remember what the market did then?). the rate of money supply growth is huge for the reported inflation numbers. HUGE.

houses have appreciated like mad but avg owner's equity is down? sad, but true. savings rate was negative.

all sources of cash. much went into the market. non sustainable for the long term term. bad news.

btw, this isn't for bragging rights. i'm sorry alan.com fomented this bubble. some believe the tough love and economic violence is in direct proportion to the size of the bubble. i sure hope not, but, rationally, i have to believe there is a link. again, i hope not. if it is proportional, we haven't seen anything yet...
