I'd love to get the government contract to broker their upcoming foray into stocks... :)

Heaven forbid we should have to actually DO something for anyone.
I lived in San Francisco for most of the '90's. I could never quite accomodate my own middle class sense of well being when it came time to walk over, around and through the homeless, gathered on any number of commercial streets in town. Seemed that society had run amok, when on the one hand, billions were passing hands on Montgomery Street daily, and yet these poor souls couldn't find a way to scrape up enough to find an SRO, many of which were being converted to tourist hotels. So that the gentry from other nations could see how thoughtless we were about the hoodoos of our culture.

Should Dubya succeed in his efforts to revert to the failed charity schemes of the 19th Century, cities like San Francisco will become cesspools of forgotten and unwanted human beings. And a great heritage will become a more distant memory.

BTW - I've never quite figured out, is "DAK" your initials or an acronym? I see we graduated from the same University. Go Badgers!
