fyo, This argument is inexorably losing it's validity as AMD makes share gains on all fronts. Dell would be wise to have an AMD 'backroom' project where they or their mobo suppliers make and test prototype AMD systems to be well prepared should the best(or worst...depends on your point of view) happen with AMD surpassing intel in share in the future.
Dell cannot afford to be unprepared for this.

Did not Gateway (of Ted Waited too long disrepute) recently demonstrate to the contrary by getting a very sweet deal from inteL only after dealing with AMD?
