A recent news article posted here pointed out the possibility that arbitrageurs have been buying AMZN debt as well as shorting the stock. Then they will agree to convert the debt into stock aft 40-50 cents on the dollar and make a mint. This is another way for Amazon to retire debt. thank God that this thread is not shut down by SI for lack of true interest in AMZN- we'd all have gone our separate ways long ago !! LOL !

I think we need a contingency plan - or will SI let us stay as "squatters" long after AMZN is a footnote to economic history ?!
