Rich, I look at that as a positive in a perverse way. By delaying rate cut, the NAZ will find a natural bottom instead of a Fed induced false bottom. I've said before that AG will cut when market does not expect it. Not when some phoney guru pumps his ego to get air time.

I heard nothing from Greenspan but "no comment" on the timing of a rate cut. He seems to have a personal policy never to give away this info in front of congress. Did anyone expect him to come out and say "I'm cutting in a day or two"? Certainly he left that possibility open. And he is under pressure from congress to cut as well as you heard from Barney Frank and others, Frank refering to his "mistake" in raising rates 6-9 months ago. Greenspan did not argue.
