well, i haven't had the time to look at it in detail, but obviously the price isn't as high as that agreed on in the Zemex deal, so it is a bit of a disappointment. still, it is remarkable and encouraging that HL was able to close the deal while being under considerable pressure.

HL told me that it does not plan a rescheduling of the bank debt, as it was in new negotiations regarding the industrials minerals division sale, and would prefer to close those and pay down the debt. this seems now a done deal as far as i can tell, and it makes HL into a perpetual option on silver.

i have in fact been waiting for this situation to be resolved before committing more funds to HL...with the danger of bankruptcy averted, and enough cash in the kitty to continue exploration of the promising Mexican property, i would recommend buying pullbacks.
