There can be no appearance the market holds him hostage. He'll cut..will use other reason.

i haven't changed my opinion of him. as mentioned before, another intra-meeting cut risks backfiring in a big way, as confidence is already shaken by the fact that the first two cuts were unable to stop the stock market collapse.

regarding a possible high today, the ST cycle has obviously inverted. there's a good chance we'll see a little rally commencing in a day or two, and lasting into the 5th. mufus will try to mark up their holdings as the month ends, and the autopilot 401 K money is going to be deployed.

of course the market is in the early throes of an outright panic, so bounces should remain relatively shallow. the early March period looks negative to me, with the exception of aforementioned brief bounce.
