Looks as if all of Wayne Angell's table pounding 80% probability for a rate cut this week ain't happening. What a little puke. Got the market all hot and bothered and now what. Another analyst to the hall of shame.

"The Fed doesn't like to be pressured into rate cuts by the stock market and Greenspan's probably feeling a bit peeved by the overt lobbying for a rate cut by the likes of Wayne Angell, the Bear Stearns economist and former Fed governor who has been pounding the drum for an immediate half-point rate cut for the better part of a week"

I love it.

Against my better judgement and for reasons which are not clear to me, I finally bought more tech with cmgi at 4 1/8 and orcl at 20 1/8. would someone please give me a good cybershake and wake me up before it's too late? I don't plan to hold long, but what am I doing in the path of this freight?

Kodiak, you write "It's like a bad corner of a dull cocktail party where you are stuck listening to somebody's Uncle Lou expound on his conspiracy theories. Jeez Louise."
Remember that saying, "Just cause I'm paranoid don't mean they're not after me? Dubya had his suspicions and sure enough one day he woke up and the w's were gone from the keyboards. Or, as it later turned out, all that was greatly exaggerated, but it made for a good story. Will the nightmare never end? (Not enough sleep, can you tell from the recurring theme-wake me up, nightmare?)

JimL,Don, excardog I'm with you on sharing and evaluating watch lists. I also keep watch lists by subsectors, including one that I labeled "large cap bottom". Of course we all have most of the same ones there. Will probably chime in this weekend. Ed
