Re: LPTH

I first bought LPTH several years ago on a lark: I liked a short article by the founder I saw on the editorial page of the WSJ. ( I'm a sucker for good writing.) The co. at that time had patents for the manufacture of "gradium" glass which apparently has certain refractive characteristics. About the only use for it at the time was for high dollar rifle scopes and the stock languished for more than a year in the $3 - 7 range. Then it was discovered that the glass apparently had a comparative advantage in bending light in the lasers used now in advanced networking equipment. And the Street discovered the stock, and LU made an investment, and the stock went ballistic. Although sales are still small ($15 - 20 million as I recall) and profits don't exist - and won't possibly for years - sales are soaring, they are hiring like mad, and they have a manufacturing/research facility right next to a LU plant somewhere in New England.

After the above digression into FA - that I'm not very good at - I'll try to answer your question. The low in Jan. was 10 !/2. On 2/22 I was lucky enough ( I thought) to buy a trading position at near the low of the day of 15 7/8. In 2 trading days the stock surged to >20 on moderately high volume. Until today, the stock has held up better than any other tech stock I am familiar with. Right now it is at 15 5/8.

I bought more today at 15 7/8 and 15 5/8. I think it has support in this area. If the NAZ slide ends anytime soon, LPTH is likely to be explosive. Target and resistance ST should be ~20.
