Ed,

Yes, Newbridge has disappeared. Each share of NNC.to or NN.nyse was exchanged for .81 shares of ALA or, in Toronto, .81 shares of AT. Anybody holding Newbridge has managed to gain somewhere between a double and a 5 bagger during the past year.

I further suggest that significant market outperformance is available to those taking positions in the sector leaders. And the wait time for a 5 bagger is probably less than 2 years.

Ian.

Thread - The www.washtech.com link on today's online Washington Post has a nice set of articles surveying the current and near-term telecommunications landscape. It discusses the products, financial shape, and prospects of the companies - new and old - active in the market as equipment makers as well as service providers. Usually, the WashPost's online articles and links are good for 2 weeks before you have to pay to get them.
