James, I don't think the talk of selling off the fiber division to GLW makes any sense. Uncle Sugar is certain to put the kabosh on that one. If Lucent wants to sell the crown jewels, then they should just do an IPO. Buy the time the paperwork is completed the market will be perking. It makes you wonder how a perceived first rate company can suddenly lose all its luster, and a perceived down and out upstart can collect all the marbles in the pot. Not that I'm complaining, but I sure do hate this market. Hiding in the weeds. Jack
